Kyoto, Japan

I'm off to Kyoto, Japan for a few days of business, just before heading out for two glorious weeks in Kaua'i. But, I did manage to hit Kyoto at the peak of their cherry blossom season. Check out the photos here.

Cheers,

Belgium - Leuven, Bastogne, and Achouffe

Back in Leuven, Belgium again for another great SecAppDev class. This year, we had some extra time, so I finally got to see the battleground museum at Bastogne as well as the Achouffe brewery. Oh, and I spent a couple hours doing some gargoyle shooting.

I'm also trying out a new photo gallery "skin" on this one. I hope you all like it.

You can find the gallery here. Just hover your mouse over each photo to see my commentary (if you care to ).

Cheers,

Ken

Prague, Czech Republic

I was in Prague for a few days on business. I took my small camera with me because I had to fly through London Heathrow, and they're even more rigid on their carry-on policy than our own TSA.

Still, I had a nice Sunday afternoon in Prague to walk around and see the old city. The weather was overcast, but largely dry, at least. Prague is a fabulously beautiful old European city that was largely unharmed during the second world war, so much of the old architecture is still present in all its glory.

Here's a quick sampling of what the city is like. I hope to get back there with my DSLR and get some sunny pictures -- including some of the magnificent gargoyles on the cathedral by the palace.

Machu Picchu and Cusco, Perú

So I finally got to go visit Machu Picchu, at the beginning of a recent business trip to Lima, Perú. I put together a gallery, as always. You can find the gallery here. It was most definitely a truly spectacular experience.

Lisbon, Portugal and Sevilla, Spain

Enough of the fun and games, it's back to business again at KRvW Associates. This week, I'm off to Sevilla, Spain via Lisbon, Portugal for the annual FIRST conference. (As I write this, I'm still in Lisbon, but I'm hoping to update this album every couple days during the week until it's finished.) To see it, click here.

Roma, Italia

No rest for the wicked. Here I am in Rome for a few days of business. Thanks to a complete meltdown of US Airways' computer system, however, I nearly didn't get here, and I certainly didn't get here in time to do some serious sightseeing and photo snapping. Still, there's a couple shots here that I like. To see it, click here.

Leuven, Belgium

Continuing along here at a blistering pace, here's my second album for the year. I'm here in Leuven, Belgium for some business and a bit of fun. Here's a gallery I took walking around and enjoying this beautiful town. To see it, click here.

Budapest, Hungary

Here's my first gallery of 2007, from my recent trip to the fabulous city of Budapest. To see it, click here. It was here that I first introduced a few of my SC friends to the wonders of absinthe. Ah, l'heure verte est arrivée, mes amis!

Sevilla, Spain

I was on a business trip recently to Sevilla, Spain. Although it was business, I did have a Sunday afternoon to walk around and see a bit of the town, so I took my camera and grabbed a few shots. I'll be back in June for a conference, so I'll get some more photos then, but this should whet your appetite a bit. To see the album, click here.

Rome, Italy

Another business trip, this time to the eternal city -- Roma. As usual, it doesn't look like I'll have much sightseeing time, but I did spend Sunday walking around the city and snapping photos of things that looked interesting. To see the gallery, click here.

Brisbane to Sydney, Australia

After a (way too long) hiatus, here's a photo gallery of our recent trip to Australia for the annual AusCERT conference, where Ken was an invited speaker this year. (Note that I'm using some new photo album software on my brand-spankin-new Macbook laptop. Macs rule!) click here.
