Smells like food!
Hi, I'm Sugar Magnolia, but you can call me Maggie. I was
born on 11 April 2001 and came to live with Ken and Caren on 7 July 2001, which I'm
told was nine years (to the day) that they brought
Elvis into their lives and
forever became "Basset People".
I was one of 8 puppies in the Red Bay Bassets "J Litter".
My official AKC registered name is "Red Bay's
Jambalaya", but Ken and Caren wanted to call me Sugar
Magnolia instead--a name much better suited to a Dixie
basset, after all, since we live in Alexandria,
Virginia.
Now, just like my brother Beau's page, the picture
above was taken some time ago. I'm not quite that tiny
anymore, but I'm still a basset hottie, but you judge
for yourself below.
I LOVE that cookie jar!
See, that's what I'm
talkin' about! Few people--and certainly not Ken
or Caren--can resist my "please oh please give me a
cookie!" eyes.
So, that's all for now, but there's another great shot of
me over on Ken's page. In that photo, Beau
and I are running with Ken on the beach. You can clearly
tell that I've overtaken Beau and have left him in my
dust.
Nonetheless, just like Beau, I'll also nag Ken to put some
of our favorite shots up here as soon as possible.
